Where do you think we need to strengthen?

Personally I think we need a solid Target man to hold up the play and poach 15/20 goals, the partnership of Becks and Nugent has worked but neither have got enough to get us to promotion, and to be successful next season, I think Pearson needs to bring in a Lambert-esque player to hold when we break and to poach when we need that goal in the final minutes. Another idea I have is gonna be a hard one for you fans, but I think we need to take out Dyer, his pace is electric but his quality of the final ball lacks the skill for City to become Premiership hopefuls, I do enjoy watching him play but he is very fustrating. Towards the end of the season Pearson was using the 442 more, which seemed to help the team immensly, and I think this is our best formation because it allows two good CMs like Danns or Drinkwater control the play and get the ball wide, and if we did have the big target man, pushing the ball wide and getting in those crosses would be a lot more successful.

Already we have a bit of a response! Thanks to @akickintheblog (awesome name btw) on twitter we have just realised that we have spoken about the bad side of our game and nothing about the good side!  I think we have some new talent, who Pearson brought in in January and some hot prospects from the acadamy, Marshall is the major success with 3 cracking goals from all across the midfield, and many who were there his goal at Chelsea was an absolute CRACKER!!!! and we all look forward to him in the 12/13 season. Pearson also had success with Danny Drinkwater, bought from Man Utd, after a 6 month loan at Barnsley, and after a few sub appearance, I saw him settle and he brings a very foward thought. In the few games I saw of him he collects the ball, turns and looks for the forward pass, and is another I look forward to in the new season.

I think we have a solid defensive and I think we just need to take out Mills, and keep Bamba and Kasper we can really push for the promotion places, the midfield could use some stronger, grittier players, but that is also really solid with a wide 4 of Marshall, Danns, Drinkwater, and Gallagher, even though some don't like him and call 'a taxi for gally' I think he is a game changer and we should use him in a free role of gliding behind the fowards to CM and LM as his starting place.

The arrival of Nugent has been a brilliant bit of business, and like many city fans the purchase of Beckford hasnt been as successful, but towards the end I think he was a lot better and either we sell him early or we keep him, after a year of experience I think he will be 10X better and maybe the poacher role we need. He has shown signs of an amazing player but isnt consistent enough, but still keep him, and he will nab us 20 goals this season
